Stephanie Gilmore Re-Signs With Creatures of Leisure

Print Friendly and PDF

Creatures of Leisure is excited to announce that six-time world champion and long-term team rider Stephanie Gilmore has committed to her partnership with the surf hardware brand for another three years.

“I’ve been with Creatures of Leisure for most of my career,” says Gilmore, “and all these years later I’m still as happy about it as I was when I first signed! As a grom you always want to ride for a brand that has the cream of the crop on the team, and so I’ve always loved being alongside guys I consider idols, from Mick Fanning, to free surfers like Jay Davies and Mitch Coleborn.”

Whether winning multiple world titles or working on award winning film projects like last year’s The Tempest, travel is a constant in Gilmore’s life, and Creatures of Leisure are proud to have Gilmore on board to road test the range.

“As surfers we literally drag our gear around so many incredible locations,” says Gilmore. “It’s incredibly comforting knowing that after you check-in your boards are going to come out the other end in perfect condition. It’s the same reassuring feeling with your legrope when you’re bailing on a bomb, or your tailpad when you take-off on a wave. It’s great to have that peace of mind, especially when you’re competing, it eliminates a variable and lets you focus on your surfing.”

“Having top quality accessories is really important. As the products keep getting better it means I can travel the world without worrying about my equipment getting damaged, which has no doubt been a big part of my success. I’ve had an incredible relationship with Creatures of Leisure throughout my career, and I’m looking to many more successful adventures in the years ahead!”

Creatures of Leisure are thrilled to continue their partnership with Gilmore, and encourage you to keep your eye out for her latest signature tailpad in-stores shortly!

Yallingup, Western Australia is the home and testing ground for Creatures of Leisure products. Located on Western Australia’s wave-rich South West coast, Yallingup and its surrounds has bred some of the world’s best surfers for several generations. The region boasts multiple breaks within a relatively short span of coast, most with a reputation for quality and a power comparable with that of Hawaii. It’s the perfect place to test surf hardware.

None of the Creatures of Leisure products hit the market without being given a thorough workout in these waves by our staff and sponsored riders or further afield by members of our international surf team.

With offices in Western Australia, the Gold Coast, France and California, we’ve got the world’s surfers covered.
