Tillys Donates a Facility to Tilly’s Life Center
Last Friday, the Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) team held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Greater Irvine Chamber for its new facility located in Irvine, Calif. This space was donated by Tillys and their generous CEO, Ed Thomas, to help the organization expand their reach to aid youth in learning soft skills, leadership, emotional intelligence, positive thinking and coping techniques. Danielle Spellman, membership manager at the Greater Irvine Chamber presented several awards to Tilly Levine, founder and president to recognize the great work TLC has done within the community. The local Irvine community, members of the Chamber of Commerce, politicians such as Councilmember, Anthony Kuo and the Chief of Police, Chief Hamel, and the state legislator were in attendance for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and new facility tour.
The 5,887 square foot facility will house the TLC team and will host certain programs and workshops. “We are truly grateful for Tillys’ CEO, Ed Thomas and Tillys for their generous support and donation. This beautiful space is the next step in pursuing our goal to ensure that teens have the tools to overcome their crises, navigate challenges and connect with the world around them,” said Executive Director, Monica Utley.
TLC aims to empower teens to overcome adversity and crisis through positive thinking and practice. Effective life tools are taught to students to help them build confidence and increase self-esteem, ultimately giving them the power to make the right decisions for themselves as well as the impact they have on others.
