Editor’s note: We reached out to outgoing CEO Steve Holley for his comments, which we added to the bottom of this post.
HUF Worldwide, LLC. (HUF), a leading skate and streetwear brand, has today announced the appointment of Eddie Miyoshi as its new Chief Executive Officer.
The company is excited to welcome Mr. Miyoshi, a highly accomplished industry veteran with many years’ experience at Volcom, to lead the company through its next phase of global expansion and revenue growth.
“HUF is at an exciting inflection point in its history with so much universal interest in streetwear and skate” according to Shinichi Uetadani, president of HUF’s parent company TSI Holdings Co. Ltd.
“This is an ideal time for Eddie, with all of his international streetwear experience, to take the helm and lead HUF to what we believe is its extraordinary potential. HUF is ready to compete on the world stage and Eddie is the right person to lead the way.”
Eddie, who spent the past seven years as president of Volcom Japan and served as Volcom’s Global Head of Culture, commented, “HUF is an amazing brand with a rich history and an incredible story to tell.
“There is a great team of creative and talented individuals at the company and I am excited and honored to work with Keith, TSI and the whole HUF Worldwide family. Together we will help HUF realize its full potential both in the US and abroad, and I greatly look forward to working with the team to have fun and achieve great success.”
Editor’s note: SES reached out to former CEO Steve Holley who sent the following comment.
Steve Holley: “The past four years have been an amazing adventure. I am so honored to have worked with Altamont Capital Partners and Scott Olivet to build a world class portfolio of consumer brands.
“Particularly, as CEO of HUF and Lakai, it has been fantastic to work closely with visionary HUF founder, Keith Hufnagel, to build the current brand teams, strengthen the fundamental business and then lead the company through a successful sale to the great Japanese apparel group, TSI Holdings.
“The HUF journey over the past several years has been second to none. I have been fortunate to have worked beside an extraordinarily talented group of team members who deserve the credit for our success. Today, the team is strong, the brands are strong and the company is well positioned to lead HUF and Lakai further into global marketplaces.
“I know that TSI, HUF and Lakai will continue their successful trajectories. As a passionate consumer of the brands, I look forward to watching the companies prosper worldwide under TSI’s leadership.”
