Surf Brands Return to Miami Swim
For the first time in several years, a large number of industry brands will be showing their collections during Miami Swim Week.
L*Space and Maaji, which sell in the surf channel and to many other swim-focused retailers, are staples of Miami, of course, as is Body Glove. Billabong had a presence in Miami last year, as did Rhythm and Tavik.
This year, others trekking to Miami include Roxy, Hurley, O’Neill, RVCA, Volcom, and Electric.
“This is our first year showing Electric Women’s at Cabana within Miami Swim Week,” Electric’s Co-Owner Abbie Crane said. “Cabana is the perfect place to for us to showcase our entire line of both fashion and athleisure sunglass frames for women.
“The resort and swim space are where women are buying sunglasses. Actually, sunglasses and swimwear are like peanut butter and jelly,” Abbie added. “There is no better place for us to connect with sun-minded women’s retailers than at a beautifully curated designer show in Miami.”
Swim is one of the best-performing categories for a diverse set of retailers and brands, making Miami an essential stop for many.
The fashion-focused Swim Week draws a wide range of retailers who attend three different trade shows, in addition to lots of parties and runway shows.
Compared to typical industry trade shows, it is definitely a female-centric event.
Shop-eat-surf will have a complete report from Miami. Look for photos and recaps of Miami Swim Week in the upcoming week.
