OIA Local Recreation Alert: Prop. 68

I wanted to reach out today to share a few resources we have to support California’s Proposition 68, the $4.1 billion water, parks and infrastructure bond on the June 5 primary ballot for voters’ consideration.

Jill Sanford’s article illustrates the proposition’s commitment to invest in “park-poor” communities and highlights the reasons why you should activate and advocate around Prop. 68.

Our website has a series of suggested social media posts that we hope you’ll find helpful in communicating your support.

Additionally, you can show your support for close to home recreation, and clean, safe drinking water by endorsing Prop. 68 as an individual, on behalf of your business/organization, or both. In doing so, you will join other OIA members, organizations and leaders across the state advocating for California’s outdoors. I encourage you to share these resources, and the benefits Prop. 68 will bring to California with your friends, followers, colleagues, and customers.

Remember that Prop. 68 – and the $4.1 billion for California parks and water priorities – will be decided by voters on June 5. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
