Quiksilver names Todd Richards

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – January 27, 2014 – Quiksilver announced today long time team snowboarder Todd Richards has been re-appointed as the brand’s lead ambassador for Snow in the North American region.  Richards’ primary responsibilities will include working with Quiksilver and Roxy’s global athletes and building a greater connection between the brand and retailers.  He will also assist with marketing activations for Quiksilver’s resort partners, Mammoth Mountain and Whistler-Blackcomb.

“Todd has been a key part of the Quiksilver snow team over the past three decades,” says Garry Wall, SVP of Global Brand Marketing for Quiksilver.  “Todd has a wealth of knowledge and energy to contribute to the Quiksilver and Roxy brands in the snow space and beyond. We are really excited he has made the transition from professional athlete to strategic member of our marketing team as we focus on the North American market.”




Richards was a dominant force on the men’s snowboard halfpipe contest circuit in the late 1990s, playing a key role in the progression of the sport and competing as part of the US team in the 1998 Winter Olympics.  In recent years, Richards has provided commentary for high profile action sports events, including the X Games.
