Journeys, Schuh report holiday sales results

Genesco, the company that owns the Journeys and Schuh footwear chains, both key industry customers, reported strong holiday sales this morning.
Same-store sales, including direct sales, rose 15% at Journeys through Jan. 3rd. Executives cited favorable fashion trends and good execution for the results.
At UK industry retailer Schuh, same-stores sales increased 6% during the same time period.
