SAN CLEMENTE, CA – In search of the perfect summer party? Get SHACC’d! Surfing Heritage and Culture Center (SHACC) is hosting an Endless Summer Party Friday, August 1st, with Robert August, Mike Hynson, John Van Hamersveld and other VIP guests.

The endless fun starts at 6:00 pm at SHACC, located at 110 Calle Iglesia, San Clemente, California. Admission is $5 for SHACC members and $10 for non-members. During the evening, SHACC will screen behind the scenes footage produced by Bob Bagley, former business manager at Bruce Brown Films. Attendees will be invited to participate in a question-and-answer chat with August, Hynson, and Van Hamersveld, the artist who designed the film’s iconic poster.




This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Endless Summer’s theatrical release, which inspired a generation of surfers to begin traveling the world in search of the perfect wave. SHACC is exhibiting their Endless Summer collection consisting of over 100 items including the original photo used to create the iconic poster image, drawings, Robert’s passport and matching trunks and jacket, Bruce’s cameras, and lots more.

A variety of authentic 50th Anniversary keepsakes will be available for purchase, including classic Endless Summer posters, signed by Robert, Mike, and filmmaker Bruce Brown. A limited supply of 50th Anniversary tee shirts, printed 50th anniversary commemorative programs, and limited edition Endless Summer Tiki mugs will also be available.
