PORTLAND, OR (March 5, 2014) – Salomon is pleased to announce the UNITE Rental Program, a completely redesigned offering built with simplicity and fun in mind. The goal is simple: we want to turn every rental experience into a fun one, where new customers become lifelong snowboarders.

It begins with breaking down the sometimes complex snowboard setup process into an uncomplicated and intuitive system for rental employees. Most notably, sizing is simplified into one question that is easy for any person to answer, “What is your t-shirt size?” By using the UNITE system and this information, rental employees can accurately size a new customer with hardgoods in a fast and simple way.

Snowboard Business Unit Manager, Jeremy Joire explains, “Rental often seems to be the last priority for most leading snowboard players, but it shouldn’t be that way. The amount of people that ride a rental board each season is close to the amount of boards actually sold! These riders- first timers, beginners, weekend warriors, etc., deserve our full attention because they represent the future of snowboard participation. We designed the UNITE rental offering with these riders in mind, making their on-snow experience as easy, fun, and rewarding as possible. Through board shapes, binding quality, and boot function, we believe that goal is achieved. The UNITE program has also been designed to simplify the lives of our friends in the rental shops and make sure their part is easier to play.”
