Editor’s note: I corrected the story to reflect that I visited Identity Board Shop in Long Beach, not Utility Board Shop. I apologize for mixing up the store names. I spent Friday and Monday driving around Southern California and visiting core stores and others that carry industry brands. I wanted to see which stores had fresh merchandise, which still had a lot of clearance and to find any other interesting trends.
