Billabong requested a halt in trading of its stock on the Australian stock exchange today.

Billabong requested the halt pending an announcement about the company's financial outlook.

The company said the stock will start trading again at beginning of the day Monday, May 18, or when the company makes its announcement.

Here's how one newspaper in Australia wrote about the halt in trading.
