Burton layoffs
Burton’s West Coast headquarters in Irvine.

I received several emails that Burton had layoffs yesterday.
I pressed hard to get accurate facts from officials at Burton headquarters in Vermont, but the company declined to comment.
I prefer not to use anonymous sources in stories. In my experience as a newspaper reporter and editor, I found that often leads to incomplete information. Plus, it's easier for people to say damaging things about others if they don't have to use their name.
I'll write more if I get information that can be verified.
