Reports released on death of Dane Williams

Dane Williams
By TIFFANY MONTGOMERY
March 26, 2008 07:05 AM

I talked with San Diego Police Lt. Kevin Rooney about toxicology and cause of death reports that came back yesterday on Hurley intern Dane Williams, who disappeared in January at ASR and was later found dead.

Rooney said the medical examiner's office was unable to determine a cause of death. Dane did have alcohol and a small amount of valium in his system, but not enough to kill him, Rooney said.

Next, the police will wait for forensic tests of trace evidence recovered where Dane's body was found in hopes of finding somebody who was in contact with him, Rooney said.

The Daily Pilot has a detailed story about the autopsy results today.
