Same store sales fall at Hollister

One of the industry's biggest competitors had a tough month. The girls business at Hollister continues to struggle. Hollister's parent company operates four chains: Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie and Ruehl.


Total company same-store sales: down 2 percent


Hollister same-store sales: down 4 percent


Hollister girls: down high single digits


Hollister guys: up low double digits


Strongest mens categories company-wide: graphic T-shirts, fleece, fragrance


Worst mens categories company-wide
: active bottoms, jeans


Strongest women's categories company-wide
: graphic T-shirts, jeans


Worst women's categories company-wide: knit tops, sweaters, skirts


Strong region company-wide: Northeast


Worst regions company-wide
: South, Midwest
