Buckle continues its winning ways

The Buckle continues to outperform other retailers, and its mens business is particularly strong. The company, with 269 stores, also said its markdowns have decreased compared to a year ago.


Same-store sales: Up 24.3 percent. (By comparison, same-store sales last February rose 4.5 percent)


Mens total sales: up 42 percent


Strong mens categories: Denim, woven and knit shirts, active apparel and accessories.


Women's total sales: up 23 percent


Strong women's categories
: Denim, knit tops, active apparel and accessories.


Accessories: up 22.5 percent


Footwear: down 14.5 percent
