Mike Mechling joins Roark sales team

Roark™ adds Orange County Powerhouse Mike Mechling to Sales Team

Laguna Beach, CA – In a move to bolster their “Core Southern California First” strategy, Roark ™ has added Mike Mechling to their sales team. Mechling will begin seeing select accounts immediately and will be taking appointments for the coming Agenda Tradeshow in Long Beach.

“A hardcore surfer and overall hellman, Mike embodies Roark’s spirit of adventurism” said Roark™ founder Ryan Hitzel, continuing, “Mike’s integrity and reputation as a sales rep is practically unmatched in the Orange County area. We also look forward to Mike's ability to help us grow and shape Roark from the ground up."

Mechling, who grew up in Orange County got his feet wet at Huntington Surf and Sport in the mid 90’s. Following that, Mechling was hired by Bobby Lockhart to work as his sub-rep for Rusty and DVS.

Mechling and Lockhart transitioned from Rusty to Billabong in 2000, later adding Lakai. In 2003, Mechling took on the main rep role for Matix while continuing to work on DVS and Lakai for Lockhart.

“I owe Lockhart everything,” said Mechling. “He has been one of my best friends and my mentor in business since day one. Now, landing at Roark 14 years later, I couldn’t be more stoked.”

Roark ™ will exhibit at the Long Beach Agenda Tradeshow January 5 and 6 in booth E6-Main Floor.
