American Apparel sees improving sales trends

American Apparel updated investors on its fourth quarter performance Sunday night before speaking at a conference this week.

 

The company said it continues to see improvement in retail sales in the fourth quarter.

 

Quarter to date through November, same store sales rose 6%, with a 5% increase in store comps and a 16% increase in online comps.

 

Wholesale revenues quarter to date are flat.

 

Net sales are up 7%.

 

American Apparel’s sales trends improved from October to November. Comps rose 4% in October and 10% in November.

 

The company operates 249 stores in 20 countries.
