Girls and juniors still difficult for Abercrombie

Abercrombie & Fitch continues to have problems with its female sector across all its retail concepts. Girls, juniors and women's were flat or down in every one of its chains.

January same-store sales

Companywide: flat

Best region: Southwest

Worst region: South


Hollister: down 2 percent

Guys: up high single digit

Girls: down high single digit


Abercrombie & Fitch: up 2 percent

Guys: up low double digit

Juniors: down mid single digit


Abercrombie: down 1 percent

Boys: up low teens

Girls: down mid single digit


Ruehl: down 17 percent

Men: down low single digit

Women: down low 30s
