CORRECTED: Fourth quarter same-store sales were in line with company expectations; January same-store sales were not. Sorry, I misheard that part of the conference call. - Tiffany
January same-store sales fell 6.6 percent at Nordstrom.
For the fourth quarter, same store sales fell 0.7 percent, inline with the company's forecast. For fiscal 2007, same-store sales rose 3.9 percent.
Strong categories: Men's apparel; Designer - including apparel, shoes and accessories; and Women's active, intimate apparel and hosiery.
Strong regions: Midwest, Northwest and South.
