Quiksilver hosted a cocktail reception Thursday night for retailers who were in town for the U.S. Open, Agenda and Quiksilver’s own market week.
While the company’s brands showed at Agenda, Quiksilver also booked appointments with retailers throughout the week at company headquarters in Huntington Beach.
I had a brief chat with CEO Bob McKnight at the cocktail party, who told me the company is about to roll out SAP, starting with DC first. Quiksilver’s new building for its campus expansion will be ready sometime in September.
And Bob said he is looking forward to the Quiksilver Pro in New York and raising the profile of surfing in the media capital of the world.
He is feeling good about business in general, with Quiksilver’s product and marketing better than ever, he said, and its balance sheet cleaned up.
