Zumiez reports strong June sales

Zumiez continued its strong sales momentum in June with same store sales rising 9.8% for the five weeks ended July 2.
Last year during the same period, same store sales rose 10.9%.
Comps by week were:
1. +7.7%
2. +10.2%
3. +11.5%
4. +13%
5. +6.7%
Strong categories included footwear, men’s, accessories, junior’s and hardgoods.
Boys was the only category that recorded a negative comp.
Quarter-to-date, Zumiez same store sales are up 8.9%.
Zumiez currently operates 418 stores.
