Abercrombie & Fitch executives provided some more details about the company’s ambitious international expansion plans for Hollister this week.

The company said it sees Hollister Europe as a major growth driver for Abercrombie & Fitch.

Currently, there are 29 Hollister stores in Europe in four countries.

In the future, Hollister Europe will grow to 185 stores in 15 countries, becoming a $1.5 billion business, the company estimates.

Additional company growth drivers include expanding Hollister in Asia and the Southern Hemisphere.

After struggling for a few years, Hollister found more solid footing in 2010.

Hollister sales grew 21% in 2010 to $1.6 billion after a 15% decline in 2009.
