VF completes acquisition of Rock & Republic brand

GREENSBORO, N.C., Mar 30, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC) announced today that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of the trademarks and related intellectual property of Rock and Republic Enterprises, Inc. for approximately $57 million.

This marks the first transaction for VF's Licensed Brands group, which was formed in July of 2009. Details related to licensing plans for the brand will be provided in the near future.
