Zumiez keeps rolling in February

Zumiez continued to post strong results in February even when up against strong comps from the same period in 2010.
The company said this afternoon that same store sales rose 12.8% for the month. In February 2010, same stores sales increased 11.2%.
All categories except boys posted positive results, including men’s, junior’s, hardgoods, footwear and accessories.
Comps by week were:
1. up 6.3%
2. up 4.9%
3. up 15.7%
4. up 24.4%
Comparable stores sales rose in all regions between 8% and 10%, and web sales also increased.
The average number of transactions increased, while the dollars per transaction declined.
Zumiez currently operates 401 stores.
