Here are some photos from the first day of Surf Expo before I run off to the Orlando Convention Center.
The show picked up in the afternoon, and many attendees from Puerto Rico were expected to arrive today and tomorrow after celebrating Three Kings Day, an important holiday there, Thursday.
The retailers I ran into yesterday said holiday had been a bit softer than expected, with nearly ever region hit by unusual weather.
Surf Expo’s Steven Fisher said buyer pre-registration was up 12%, and tonight is the Quiksilver All 80’s All Day Vert Challenge with Tony Hawk.
