Richard Woolcott, Bob Hurley, Paul Naude and Bob McKnight competed in a surf contest last Sunday - the morning after the Waterman's Ball - organized by Spyder Surf.

The winner got bragging rights and first crack at painting the tower on Spyder's remodeled store on Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach.

According to the Easy Reader, the heats included Paul Naude vs. Bob McKnight and Richard Woolcott vs. Bob Hurley.

Richard Woolcott, who told the Easy Reader he practiced for the contest, came out on top.

All four acknowledged they really came out to support Spyder. The Easy Reader story is worth reading. There are also photos of the CEO's, presidents and chairmen in action.
