Nike Q4 revenues and profits rise

Nike reported results this afternoon for the quarter and fiscal year ended May 31.

Fourth Quarter

Total revenue: up 8% to $5.1 billion. Up 4% in constant currency.

Net income: up 7% to $522 million, excluding charges last year.

Gross margin: 47.4% vs. 43.4%

Other businesses revenue (includes Hurley and Converse): up 9% to $714 million.

Other businesses EBIT: up 71% to $73 million

Full year

Total revenue: down 1% to $19 billion. Down 2% in constant currency.

Net income: up 2% to $1.9 billion, excluding charges last year.

Gross margin: 46.3% vs. 44.9%

Other businesses revenue (includes Hurley and Converse): up 5% to $2.5 billion.

Other businesses EBIT: up 43% to $299 million, excluding charges last year.

Future orders

Up 7 % to $8.8 billion, or up 10% in constant currency.

Inventories

Down 13% to $2 billion

Cash and short term investments

$5.1 billion, up 49%
