Woolcott named Entrepreneur of the Year

Chapman University in Orange, Calif., has chosen Volcom CEO Richard Woolcott as the first recipient of its new Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The award will be presented by tthe Leatherby Entrepreneurship Center at the Chapman University Argyros School of Business and Economics.
Richard will receive the award at a special dinner May 19 at Chapman.
He was chosen because he reflects the entrepreneurial spirit of Orange County, Chapman said.
In a press release, Richard said, "Our region is extremely diverse in culture and ideas and has become well-known for inspiring the creation of enduring global businesses. I am honored to be selected as the first recipient of this award."
