He can skate, but can he race cars?

Pro skater Tony Hawk is getting ready to test his driving skills at Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on Saturday, April 17.

Hawk will compete in the 10-lap Toyota Pro/Celebrity race, trying to beat last year’s winner Keanu Reeves as well as Christian Slater, Zach Levi, Adam Corolla, Megyn Price, Brian Austin Green and other celebrities.

Aside from bragging rights, at stake is $5,000 for the winner’s charity of choice.

Hawk is racing for his Tony Hawk Foundation, which helps finance and promote public skateparks in low-income areas.

Additionally, Toyota is donating $5,000 to “Racing for Kids” in the name of each celebrity racer. For more information on the event, check out the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach web site.
