I read Shop-Eat-Surf at every opportunity, and I waited too long to sign up for the Executive Edition. It’s timely, relevant and clearly “from the industry, for the industry.

Before Shop-Eat-Surf, there were two sites I paid for premium content on. One is Surfline, the other is the Wall Street Journal. One is about all things surf, the other, the best business content site in the world. Shop-eat-surf is the intersection of those two worlds. Shop-Eat-Surf provides everything from coverage of events, people, brands and trends. However, beyond the Executive Edition "wall" is more meaty analysis and interpretation of financial statements, business models and brand philosophies; why certain brands and companies are succeeding, where others aren't. The Executive Edition is a must have read if the business of surf and action sports are on your radar screen.

If you continue to have issues, please email me at tiffany@shop-eat-surf.com. We greatly appreciate your patience during this process.

PPR showed the first prototypes of Volcom footwear during a media day in Paris, according to a story today in WWD.
It also revealed a whole new product category for Electric Visual.
WWD described the Volcom shoes as sneakers and said they had soles in contrasting colors.
Todd Hymel, COO of PPR’s sport and lifestyle division of which Volcom is a part, said Volcom also recently opened stores in Madrid and Barcelona, and will open another this month in Chamonix, WWD reported.
Meanwhile, Electric is poised to release a line of helmets for mountain sports and will keep focused on premium technical accessories, according to the WWD article.
PPR executives reiterated it would like to move into the outdoor category, and its main focus is small and medium sized companies with strong growth potential.
