It pertains to my business

I’m an avid reader of Shop-Eat-Surf because it’s really the only online newsletter that I have found that is not only industry related, but also because it’s not so “guy-centric.” I find that a lot of the information I read on the site pertains to my business (as a swimwear designer) and keeps me up to date on what other companies and other women in the industry in general are doing which is not only inspiring but also helps me gauge the future direction of my business as well.

I feel privileged to read the Executive Edition because I know I am getting insider industry information before it hits the mainstream media channels. And it’s always good to know what my friends are up to in the industry.

It is common knowledge in our industry that there is one undisputed leader in reporting on the topics, businesses and trends that impact all of us the most, and it is shop-eat-surf.com. Their access to those who make our industry happen is second to none, and we value not only the content of their reporting but the editorial thought on what it all means both in the present as well as the future. If we were asked to give a rating, it would be five out of five stars.

Holden introduces insulated slippers

Press Release:

Portland, OR - January 17th, 2012 - Holden is proud to introduce its first entry into the footwear segment with the launch of the Holden slippers, as part of its mission to deliver comfort, quality, and style to the modern-day active man and woman.

Most slippers are designed for inside wear only, but Holden has found a practical solution for snowy strolls by introducing quilted, insulated, street-ready slippers - all without sacrificing style. Designed with the snow sport enthusiast in mind, the après sneaker-inspired slippers are the perfect footwear choice after a long day on the hill.

Fully insulated for comfort and warmth, the Holden slippers feature an elastic draw cord that secures them on your feet, yet makes it easy to slip on and off. The thin gum rubber sole gives it the durability to wear outside, but comfortable enough to wear inside, and all day long.

The Holden slippers will be the first thing you grab when you need to rush to the mountain, shovel out the driveway, or get out of your snowboard boots. ‘Easy like Sunday mornin’.

The official slipper of Baldface Lodge, here’s what Jeff Pensiero, owner of Baldface Lodge, had to say about the Holden slippers: “Slippers are an essential Part of the Baldface experience. And having the right footwear to slip into after a fun day of powder swooshing can make all the difference for the après celebration. Slippers up here at Baldface need to be able to take a licking on the dance floor an still be able to offer enough traction and support to get you safely back to your cabin. Or whichever cabin you end up in.”

Owner and Professional Snowboarder Mikey LeBlanc says,“After a long day of riding we all love to untie those icy laces and get out of our boots to slip into something more comfortable. These puffy, super-comfy slippers are just what the doctor ordered and will have feet everywhere feeling the heat. These will be by my door at home, in the car ride to the hill and on every trip I take from now on.”

The Holden slippers will be available in stores Fall 2012.
