Zumiez comps up 3.3% in October

Zumiez same store sales increased 3.3% in October, the company reported this afternoon.

 

In October 2010, same stores sales increased 21.5%.

 

Comps by week were:

 

1. +4.9%

2. +0.2%

3. +2.1%

4. +6.3%

 

Dollars per transaction increased, while comparable store transactions decreased.

 

Strong categories: Men’s, Footwear, Junior’s.

 

Weak categories: Accessories, Hardgoods, Boys’.

 

Third quarter same store sales: up 6% vs. a 14.4% increase in Q3 of 2010.

 

Year-to-date same store sales: up 8.3% vs. an 11.3% increase in Q3 of 2010.

 

Total stores: 442
