I require all our executives to read it

There is no better publication that I am aware of that is so accurate and on top of any news and developments in our industry. I personally recommend it to many people that want to know and understand more about our industry. For the most part, shop-eat-surf.com gets the stories first. As a matter of fact, I require all the executives in our company to read it.

It pertains to my business

I’m an avid reader of Shop-Eat-Surf because it’s really the only online newsletter that I have found that is not only industry related, but also because it’s not so “guy-centric.” I find that a lot of the information I read on the site pertains to my business (as a swimwear designer) and keeps me up to date on what other companies and other women in the industry in general are doing which is not only inspiring but also helps me gauge the future direction of my business as well.

I feel privileged to read the Executive Edition because I know I am getting insider industry information before it hits the mainstream media channels. And it’s always good to know what my friends are up to in the industry.

Press Release:

Carlsbad, CA - TransWorld Media is very pleased to announce the rehire of Monica Campana. After serving nearly ten years with TransWorld Media from 1996 - 2005, Monica Campana is back on board, as Publisher for TransWorld SKATEboarding.

At TransWorld, Monica will be taking on TransWorld SKATEboarding's advertising initiatives, reporting directly to Marc Fiore VP of Sales & Marketing. Monica will manage the skate sales staff and work closely with the marketing and editorial teams to ensure that as TransWorld SKATEboarding embarks on its 30th volume, it remains the number one skateboarding media brand in the industry.

"Rejoining TransWorld SKATEboarding at its 30-year anniversary is both sublime and surreal," comments Monica. "It is with incredible excitement that I return to a title which is dedicated to excellence and proggressivism within the skateboarding community. The pioneering and creative culture associated with TWSKATE's brand is a well reputed and trusted one. I am honored to be a part of this insanely talented team."

Following her prior tenure with TransWorld, Monica held the role as Publisher and Sales Director of FOAM Magazine, overseeing advertising, circulation and marketing across all media platforms of the publication, and responsible for double digit growth in the brand's overall sales and distribution. Monica also worked as Brand Manager for Salinas Swimwear, enabling her to grow and improve her knowledge of the manufacturing and vendor side of business, in addition to gaining a non-media perspective of marketing, advertising and production.

"I am excited to bring Monica back to TransWorld," said Marc Fiore. "Having previously worked with her during her first tenure, she is a talented and hard-working employee, and has an impeccable background of industry, media, sales and manufacturing skills. I am confident that she is the perfect fit for the position of Publisher for TransWorld SKATEboarding."
