The one, undisputed leader
The one, undisputed leader

It is common knowledge in our industry that there is one undisputed leader in reporting on the topics, businesses and trends that impact all of us the most, and it is shop-eat-surf.com. Their access to those who make our industry happen is second to none, and we value not only the content of their reporting but the editorial thought on what it all means both in the present as well as the future. If we were asked to give a rating, it would be five out of five stars.

Executive Edition is a must have
Executive Edition is a must have

Before Shop-Eat-Surf, there were two sites I paid for premium content on. One is Surfline, the other is the Wall Street Journal. One is about all things surf, the other, the best business content site in the world. Shop-eat-surf is the intersection of those two worlds. Shop-Eat-Surf provides everything from coverage of events, people, brands and trends. However, beyond the Executive Edition "wall" is more meaty analysis and interpretation of financial statements, business models and brand philosophies; why certain brands and companies are succeeding, where others aren't. The Executive Edition is a must have read if the business of surf and action sports are on your radar screen.

Ten years ago, Darren and Steve Rosenberg launched Newport Beach, California-based Kaenon Polarized - a luxury brand of high-performance sunglasses with a cult following among sailors, baseball players and golfers.

But while Kaenon's unique premium shades are worn by pro athletes and celebrities, mass-market audiences have remained elusive. In this Tuesday's "Bloomberg The Mentor," airing on Bloomberg Television at 9pm ET/PT, branding and retail guru Jay Margolis steps in to help these founders amplify the buzz around their products. With over 30 years of experience in the business, including executive roles at Limited Brands, Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger and Liz Claiborne, can Margolis help the Rosenbergs grow "the best sunglasses you've never heard of" into a major player in the market?

About "Bloomberg The Mentor"

"Bloomberg The Mentor" is an original series by Bloomberg Television that features top CEOs mentoring small business owners across America. Every entrepreneur hopes to strike it big, but the reality is that 80% of small businesses fail within the first 18 months. What if entrepreneurs from around the U.S. had the chance to get real-life advice from some of America's best-known CEOs? This season, "Bloomberg The Mentor" tests that concept with eight small businesses.
