World Snowboard Day will be back for its 6th edition on Sunday, December 18th, 2011, once again providing the opportunity to discover, for free, snowboarding as a sport and culture across the world’s summits.
This year more than 24 winter sports resorts in 13 countries will organize a variety of free activities in which everyone and anyone can participate. So don’t wait any longer and logon right now to the new website world snowboard day to learn about the surprises that WSD has in store for you!
Whether you’re a beginner or an expert rider, whether you’re as agile as a mountain goat or more like a moose, the international snowboard community (federations, ski areas, clubs, shops, pro riders, associations and brands) have brewed up an unbelievable program for you: free lessons for newcomers, contests, demonstrations, equipment tests, film viewings, parties and concerts, all in a festive, warm and welcoming atmosphere!
EuroSIMA, WSF, Outdoor Sports Valley – who are organizing the event – have doubled their efforts each and every year so that snowboard fever is caught by as many people as possible. As of last year they have joined forces with two additional very important partners, SnowSports Industries America (SIA) and Core Power Asia, in order to reinforce World Snowboard Day’s presence in North America and Asia. The goal is to offer everyone the opportunity to participate in this one-of-a-kind day in order to discover (for free!) the joys of snowboarding.
Between now and December 18th, remember to regularly go to world-snowboard-day.com to learn about new World Snowboard Day events around the world. You can also follow the World Snowboard Day community via the major social networks to be the first to learn about key news and updates:
