Since the inception of Executive Edition, I only need 1 stop

As a retailer in the surf industry for the past 21 years, I have had to use multiple sources to stay informed to the news within surf. Since the inception of the Executive Edition of Shop-Eat-Surf.com, I need only one stop. Thanks for providing such a valuable tool to all of us in the industry. Shop-Eat-Surf is a must read for all of our staff at Maui Nix.

Executive Edition is a must have
Executive Edition is a must have

Before Shop-Eat-Surf, there were two sites I paid for premium content on. One is Surfline, the other is the Wall Street Journal. One is about all things surf, the other, the best business content site in the world. Shop-eat-surf is the intersection of those two worlds. Shop-Eat-Surf provides everything from coverage of events, people, brands and trends. However, beyond the Executive Edition "wall" is more meaty analysis and interpretation of financial statements, business models and brand philosophies; why certain brands and companies are succeeding, where others aren't. The Executive Edition is a must have read if the business of surf and action sports are on your radar screen.

Press Release:

ENCINITAS, CA- Nixon is pleased to announce Hawaii’s John John Florence as the newest addition to the Surf Team. In keeping with Nixon tradition and longstanding policy, all additions are only possible after a positive vote by the Nixon team. John John’s induction came after having been unanimously given the green light by Bruce Irons, Dusty Payne, Josh Kerr, Lisa Andersen, Dean Morrison, Rob Machado, Claire Bevilacqua, Keith Malloy, Nathan Fletcher and Mark Cunningham.

Often touted as a surf prodigy, John John was born in Oahu and lives there still today. In addition to his recent back-to-back wins at Pip e this year (Da Hui Backdoor Shootout and Volcom Pipe Pro) John John has earned four NSSA titles, was the youngest surfer to ever compete in The Triple Crown of Surfing, has graced the covers of Surfer, TransWorld SURF and Surfing as well as countless pages of other magazines.

With his eyes on the prize and the chops to make it happen, John John can be found charging Pipe and Backdoor to tow-ins at Teahupoo and everything in-between and was recently and officially welcomed to move into the elite 2011 ASP World Championship Top 34 to finish up the last of this year’s tour.

“John John’s a throwback in the surfing world,” states Nixon Marketing Manager, Mike Murciano. “He has dynamic abilities and deep roots in surf. He has the respect and drive to take him to the top. He brings strong, new elements to the team and we are beyond proud to welcome him.”

John John’s first ads for Nixon will appear this fall in surf publications globally and his sponsors include Vans, O’Neill, Spy Optics, DAKINE, Jack’s Surf Shop and Monster Energy Drink.
