TransWorld Media Signs On As Official Media Partner For Quiksilver Pro New York


Carlsbad, CA – TransWorld Media is proud to announce its partnership with the first-ever ASP World Championship Tour stop on the East Coast, The Quiksilver Pro New York, that will take place in Long Island, September 1-15.


As the official action sports media partner, TransWorld will play an active role in covering the world’s best surfers while they compete for the biggest prize purse in surfing history. TransWorld will also be covering the skateboarding, motocross, and BMX demos, live music, fashion shows, movie premieres, and much more through its print, web, and event assets

"TransWorld is an authority on action sports culture that reaches a large audience, brings a high level of creativity, and offers a fun perspective to ensure the Quiksilver Pro New York is the biggest and best surf event in the world."


In conjunction with this partnership, TransWorld SURF will be producing the Quiksilver Pro New York’s official program and including it in the October print issue. The program will also be digitally integrated into its own iPad application and available on iTunes, offering a more extensive, multi-layered user experience that will include interactive editorial content, high definition photos and videos, and click-through URL links which are all outside of the original printed event program.


The TransWorld SURF brand will also be bringing along its unique style of event coverage by providing daily on-site video content, hosting a VIP gifting lounge, unveiling the latest in surf hardgoods through an on-site vendor row in the festival village, and creating two, new, exciting and entertaining TransWorld SURF-esque lay day events for the pros and audience to enjoy.


Online video content will feature top athletes at the event through the brand’s popular “Cote’s Cube” and “Go There” editorial franchises. TransWorld SURF will be rolling out the red carpet and opening up its VIP gifting lounge in partnership with New Era Caps and placing its limited edition hats onto the elite heads of Quiksilver Pro New York VIP attendees. Top surfboards, traction products, and fins will be featured along vendor row, showcasing the latest in hardgood technology.
