Press Release:
Volcom's third annual spring fashion show took place last Thursday at Volcom Headquarters VIP space. Volcom partnered with ELLE Magazine to present us with this amazingly fun event. The show featured 16 models showcasing both Volcom's Spring 2012 swim collection and a limited edition collaboration capsule with Volcomunity ambassadors, Posso.
Volcom’s Spring 2012 swim collection holds several distinct looks, a color palette of brights as well as softer morphed tones, coupled with new silhouette shapes that accent dramatic highs and lows.
“The essence of our collection for Spring ’12 comes from many places in the past, present and future,” say Suzanne Vallely, Volcom Swim designer. “This SP2012 collection can and will take her as far as she wants to go.”
The models walked the runway to the sounds fueled by Posso, who premiered brand new songs produced exclusively for the event. Their newest track, "Gypsy Love" started the night off with the runway show, followed up by a Posse DJ set that kept the energetic crowd captivated until the wee hours of the night.
POSSO (meaning: “I can”) is an out-of-this world collaboration between best friends Marylouise Pels and Vanessa Giovacchini. Their collection embodies the true spirit of their day to night dressing: easygoing, slightly rebellious effortless California style, which was a perfect match for Volcom and their spring line.
Make sure you check out Volcom’s Spring 2012 Swim and Posso collaboration, available at Volcom retailers in November. Special thanks to Bertenzen for providing amazing drinks to take us through the night – Rolf Binder, Tohu, Weihenstephaner, Birra Moretti & Prosecco Tiziano… Needless to say we had plenty of fuel for the party.
