The Reef Sweetwater Pro-Am will boast a $20,000 prize purse, and draws a powerful array of East Coast legends like Reef's Ben Bourgeois and defending champion Michael Powell, as well as world-renowned surfers like Rob Machado. Rob will not only compete in the event, but will also participate in the Art and Music festival.
Reef Men's Marketing Manager, Heath Walker, adds "From years of success on the beach showcasing some of the world's best talent with a great partner like Sweetwater Surf Shop, we wanted to elevate the experience for the community by adding the art and music festival element."
The first annual Reef Sweetwater Art and Music Festival will take place July 16th at 4pm-9:30pm at the Wrightsville Beach Outdoor Park. Featured artists include Mike Losness, Sean Ruttkay, Jenn Butler and other local artists. Musical guests include Selah Dubb, Fuzz & Mac, Rob Machado and John Swift.
