Zumiez same store sales continued to grow at a healthy pace in May, increasing 7.8%.
In May 2010, same store sales rose 7.1%.
Comps by week were:
1. + 7.7%
2. + 9.4%
3. +8.6%
4. +5.5%
The number of transactions increased as did the dollars per transaction.
Positive categories included footwear, accessories, men’s, hardgoods and junior’s. Boys’ comps declined.
Year-to-date, Zumiez same store sales are up 11.5%.
Zumiez operates 410 stores in the U.S. and two stores in Canada.
