NEWPORT BEACH, CA, May 10th 2011 - The California Swimwear Association, producer of the SoCal Rep Show, is excited to announce the launch of the Swim Collective Trade Show on Tuesday, August 2nd and Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011.
The 100 booth, trade only event will be held at the luxurious Balboa Bay Club and Resort in Newport Beach, California, offering a turn key solution for swimwear designers, manufactures and sales reps to meet with their buyers in Southern California.
Set against a stunning backdrop of yachts and spectacular bay views, the Swim Collective host venue is the perfect environment for swimwear companies to present their 2012 collections to buyers.
“The luxurious setting reflects their lifestyle brand message and places them in the correct context. Buyers become inspired.” said Shannon Leggett, executive show director.
The Balboa Bay Club and Resort is the only five star waterfront hotel in Newport Beach where buyers can discover great swimwear fashion, food and weather.
“The Swim Collective is an annual swimwear trade show. As trade show markets become regional, we will provide buyers and exhibitors a cost effective solution to do business.
"With $5 gas prices and contracting national retail sales, buyers are traveling less to national shows. We expect to draw upon those buyers that usually attend the Las Vegas and Miami shows. Now, they have a new local option,” said Shannon Leggett, the executive show director.
The show will be running during the US Open of Surfing, the largest surfing event in the country, drawing attendance to over 200,000. The Swim Collectives promotional opportunities will provide swim brands a place to leverage their marketing campaign efforts with the national media covering the weekly events.
The environment of the Swim Collective will be similar to other premium trade shows with complimentary breakfast beverages, gourmet lunches, cheese/wine receptions, magazine parties and industry fashion shows.
