It's well balanced information that is useful on a daily basis. I'm very satisfied with the Executive Edition. I start each day with SES and a big cup of coffee!

Executive Edition is a must have
Executive Edition is a must have

Before Shop-Eat-Surf, there were two sites I paid for premium content on. One is Surfline, the other is the Wall Street Journal. One is about all things surf, the other, the best business content site in the world. Shop-eat-surf is the intersection of those two worlds. Shop-Eat-Surf provides everything from coverage of events, people, brands and trends. However, beyond the Executive Edition "wall" is more meaty analysis and interpretation of financial statements, business models and brand philosophies; why certain brands and companies are succeeding, where others aren't. The Executive Edition is a must have read if the business of surf and action sports are on your radar screen.

Excitement was in the air as Dahl, followed by film crews, led attendees on a wax factory tour that included a look at the Sticky Bumps surf wax, low impact manufacturing process. He related the company's history, since 1972, with stories interspersed with humor and reflection.

John Dahl says, "Well over 100,000,000 surf wax bars have been produced in the factory since our beginning, all nontoxic biodegradable, by the way."

All were in awe of California Surf Museum's display of Bethany Hamilton's surf board that she was paddling when she was attacked. Sonya Balmores Chung posed for pictures, autographed Soul Surfer posters and along with Bethany Hamilton's brother Tim did video interviews.

"I had a blast at the Sticky Bumps factory!" added Sonya. "The tour was a great inside look of how dedicated they are as family business, it's no wonder they are the top producer of wax in the states. Sticky Bumps pumps out great products for the surfing industry and their team of surfers show it. The surf community may be a small sub-culture but it's powerful when we get together to support its athletes and the companies that help us do what we love to do, surf & stay on our boards!"

Enthusiastic comments about the day were heard from the group as they enjoyed finger sandwiches and munchies. Thanks to Vitaminwater, Smartwater, Popchips, Cliff/Luna Bars, and Sanuk for supplying swag.
