Press Release:

"Where Action Sports Culture, Retailing and Manufacturing Unite"

(21 April 2011/Singapore) GLM Shows/dmg events, producers of Surf Expo, is excited to announce ACTION SPORTS EXPO ASIA, in Singapore 13-15 April 2012.

“The Asian Pacific sports business will exceed USD$17 billion in sales this year and with this phenomenal growth, Action Sports has exploded in Southeast Asia,” says GLM Senior Vice President Roy Turner.

“Already a host to the Asian X-Games, Mettle Games and most recently the Jr. Olympic Games, Singapore is within a 7-hour flight of the major markets of the region and, without the travel visa requirements of other countries in the region, is an extraordinarily open and welcoming marketplace.”

The 300 booth event will be held at the incredible Marina Bay Sands Convention Center and will offer a marketplace to manufacturers, distributors and retailers in the surf, skate, standup paddle, wake, and wind industries.

The show will be co-located with Asia Dive Expo (ADEX), the region's longest running dive show and drawing more than 21,000 participants from 49 countries. Public attendance and promotional opportunities make this new show a unique opportunity for brands looking a simplified way to enter this marketplace.

“No region in the world is as ready to embrace the action sports lifestyle as the Asian Pacific,” notes ASEA sales representative Robert “Wingnut” Weaver, a frequent resident of Asia and star of the 1994 surfing movie “Endless Summer II.”

The event will offer turnkey booth options and is endorsed by the Singapore Sports Council and Singapore Wakeboard and Waterski Foundation (SWWF). Complete exhibitor and visitor information is available at www.aseasingapore.com.
