SAN CLEMENTE, CA (March 22, 2011) — Action Sports Group/Grind Networks SVP Group Publisher Norb Garrett announced two key staff moves this week with the promotion of Chris Engelsman to Director of Sales Strategy for the ASG/Grind Network and Jeff Baker as Publisher of Snowboarder.
Engelsman has served as Publisher of Snowboarder since 2006 and has helped lead the title through a recent redesign and significant ad revenue growth capped by a 9% year-over-year increase in ad pages this winter.
Jeff Baker returns to Snowboarder—where he last served as Photo Editor in 2004—after recently starting Axis Media with Mike Basher and before that serving as Publisher of Snowboard magazine.
"Both of these moves serve to strengthen our team and help advance the growth of the ASG/Grind Networks and the individual brands such as Snowboarder," said Garrett.
