Hurley CEO Roger Wyett has been promoted to President of Nike Affiliates. He'll oversee Hurley, Cole Haan, Converse and Umbro.

I asked Roger via email what that means for his role at Hurley and who will handle the day-to-day there.

"The transition will be seamless as Bob and myself work closely together, the timelines will be thoughtful," Roger said. "I anticipate there will be an addition to our talented leadership team, in order to realign the day-to-day roles/responsibilities."

Here is the press release announcing Roger's promotion from Nike:

BEAVERTON, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE - News) announced today that Roger Wyett, VP and Chief Executive Officer of Hurley International will become President of Nike Affiliates leading business and strategic direction across the NIKE, Inc. portfolio of affiliate brands, including Cole Haan, Converse Inc., Hurley International LLC and Umbro Ltd.

Prior to Hurley, Mr. Wyett, 54 served as Global Vice President of Apparel for Nike. He first joined Nike in 1994 and held a number of key senior management roles across the company. He has also worked in senior management positions for Puma USA, and the Walt Disney Company. In his new role, Mr. Wyett will report directly to Mark Parker, NIKE, Inc. President and CEO. Eunan McLaughlin, former President of Nike Affiliates, has announced his retirement.

Nike also announced that Jan Singer, 46, will become Vice President of Global Apparel for Nike replacing Jill Stanton, who has decided to leave the company to pursue other interests. Ms. Singer most recently served as Vice President of Global Footwear for Nike. Andrea Correani, 44, will now succeed Ms. Singer as Vice President of Global Footwear. Andrea has most recently served as Vice President of Footwear for Nike Sportswear. Jan Singer and Andrea Correani will both report directly to Eric Sprunk, Global Vice President of Merchandising and Product for Nike.

“We have tremendous growth opportunities across our portfolio of affiliates and are pleased to see Roger bring his more than 25 years of experience to the team and lead us in our next period of growth within our affiliates,” said Mark Parker, President and CEO, NIKE, Inc. “Delivering the most innovative products for athletes is what distinguishes the Nike brand with consumers globally and we look forward to Jan and Andrea’s leadership as we create products and experiences that inspire athletes around the world to reach their full potential. I would also like to thank Eunan McLaughlin and Jill Stanton for their significant contributions to our company over the last decade.”
