It pertains to my business

I’m an avid reader of Shop-Eat-Surf because it’s really the only online newsletter that I have found that is not only industry related, but also because it’s not so “guy-centric.” I find that a lot of the information I read on the site pertains to my business (as a swimwear designer) and keeps me up to date on what other companies and other women in the industry in general are doing which is not only inspiring but also helps me gauge the future direction of my business as well.

I feel privileged to read the Executive Edition because I know I am getting insider industry information before it hits the mainstream media channels. And it’s always good to know what my friends are up to in the industry.

Press Release:

Saturday, Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., HSS along with PT will be hosting a Talk Story in our Boardroom (300 PCH Location). Talk Story with PT is a little forum so to speak where PT comes in to our boardroom to Talk Story with customers.

The topics range the gamut in regards to surfing. Anything from boards to waves to product or just talking about the old days.

This Saturday we are super excited to announce that we will have Sean Collins (Founder of Surfline), Rusty Preisendorfer (Rusty Surfboards), Mark Pesce Sr. (Pesce Surfboards) and the Surftech Crew, all in person, in the Boardroom starting at 9am and going until 1pm.

The event is super informal and it will be a great opportunity for anyone to come down and meet Sean and Rusty in person. They will be signing a few things and we will have an Enter to Win for some VIP Surfline subscriptions as well as some cool gear from Rusty.

Sean will be touching on ways to maximize the features of Surfline, Rusty will be discussing board design among other things, Mark Pesce Sr. of Pesce surfboards will be touching on the ins and outs of board production, and the Surftech crew will be touching on their line up of boards and how to pick the board right for you.

Saturday will be a great opportunity to stop in from the cold or rain, grab a cup of coffee at Java Point and meet some surf icons.
