Press Release:
BURLINGTON, VT (November 29, 2010) Starting today, Burton gives riders ‘Web Presents’, a month-long blizzard of online holiday give-aways, snowboard stoke and good times located at www.burton.com/webpresents. Web Presents will culminate with a five-day, round-the-clock live webcast from December 13-17, giving riders an uncensored look at what goes on inside the world’s leading snowboard company and the chance to virtually interact with Burton pro riders and employees.
With the launch of Web Presents, riders can “get their holiday cheer on” with the new Wish List and Gift Guide features that are now live. The Wish List tool lets riders share what they really want with friends and family. The best part is that when they sign up and share what they want, every week during Web Presents Burton will give away $1000 towards one lucky rider’s List. For other gift-giving ideas, riders can also check out the shred-friendly Gift Guides sorted for the jib crew, backcountry rider, traveler and more. There’s also a live Twitter feed in Web Presents so riders can see what everyone’s talking about during the holidays.
This all leads up to the pinnacle moment when Web Presents turns on the live webcam from December 13-17, giving riders a cozy virtual seat in front of the company’s lobby fireplace. As you would expect, a lot can go on in the lobby of the world’s leading snowboard company in December. So, during the live webcast, riders can expect to see interviews with Burton pro riders, interactive chats with product managers, giveaways galore, random contests and trivia, shopping spree hook-ups at select Burton dealers, scavenger hunts and spontaneous nonsense. And the holidays wouldn’t be the same without some surprises, so Web Presents will be packed full of last-minute treats throughout the live webcast, enticing riders to tune in 24/7.
By bringing the best of snowboarding into one virtual place, Web Presents really is the ‘gif’ that keeps on giving. Curl up with Burton’s Web Presents during the holidays at www.burton.com/webpresents and stay tuned for more info on the live webcast starting December 13th. Happy Holidays!
