It's well balanced information that is useful on a daily basis. I'm very satisfied with the Executive Edition. I start each day with SES and a big cup of coffee!

The one, undisputed leader
The one, undisputed leader

It is common knowledge in our industry that there is one undisputed leader in reporting on the topics, businesses and trends that impact all of us the most, and it is shop-eat-surf.com. Their access to those who make our industry happen is second to none, and we value not only the content of their reporting but the editorial thought on what it all means both in the present as well as the future. If we were asked to give a rating, it would be five out of five stars.

Press Release:

Whether you are an entrepreneur, early-stage business, service provider, mature company or sports enthusiast, we thank you for supporting the SDSI program and hope that together we can accelerate the growth of San Diego’s vibrant sports industry which is dear to us all.

We look forward to keeping you informed of upcoming SDSI and CONNECT events/programs that will be beneficial to the growth of your companies as well as keep you connected within the sports community.

We would like to draw your attention to two excellent CONNECT events- The Most Innovative New Product “MIP” Award competitionas well as FrameWorks Workshops educational programs. See details below.

The Most Innovative New Product “MIP” Award

If you've launched a new product in the past 12 months, you should be part of The Most Innovative New Product “MIP” Award competition. Finalists and winners receive significant media coverage and product exposure.

Past MIP Winners awards from the sports industry include: Firewire Surfboards, Neptunic Technology, LIFE-SAFER, INC. Call for nominations will close in just two weeks! Don’t forget to nominate your company’s new product for an opportunity to compete for this prestigious award, or recommend the competition to your friends who may be eligible. Visit our site at http://www.connect.org/programs/most-innovative-products-award/nominate/ for eligibility requirements and to access the online nomination form.

2010 MIP Awards Eligibility Criteria

- The product must have been developed in San Diego

- The product must have been first introduced between September 2009 and September 2010

- The product must have generated revenue from sales

- Beta test products are not eligible for the competition. 2nd-generation (and higher) products are eligible, but the nominator must explicitly detail the innovation in the current product from earlier versions. There is no limit to the number of products or technologies each company may submit, but each entry may be nominated in only one category. In collaborative partnerships, the local San Diego partner must be an active research participant in the nominated technology

FrameWorks Workshops

Economical, content-rich educational programs that provide entrepreneurs, founders, CEOs and business leaders with the vocabulary, foundations, and "framework" around which they can build awareness of the many disciplines they oversee as "C" level managers.
