Over 150 brands to show spring 2011 swim lines in San Diego this August 13th-15th

San Juan Capistrano, CA (June 7, 2010) – The world’s hottest swim brands are diving into spring 2011 orders at ASR and CLASS@ASR this August 13th-15th.

Over 150 swim and swim accessory labels spanning high-end designer to international and surf-rooted are set to debut spring lines at the San Diego based events. Spurred by location, a desirable buyer mix and added benefits including a swim focused runway and designated swim area called La Plage, ASR and CLASS@ASR are the west coast’s meeting place for swim in 2010.

“Swim is a diverse, exciting and growing segment of the market for both specialty and boutique retailers,” says Andy Tompkins, VP of ASR.

“With an increased focus on the swim category on both the ASR Marketplace and CLASS@ASR floors, buyers will have a convenient and inspiring experience shopping spring swim lines. In addition, the variety of swim product on the runway stage throughout the show will provide hundreds of media outlets with a targeted look at future trends in the swim category.”

New for 2010, La Plage is a chic meeting place for the swim community at ASR. Lush carpets, ceiling treatments and cozy lounges will mark the distinctly feminine area.

La Plage’s central lounge will feature a DJ setting the mood, aromatherapy and an Addiction NV Cosmetics station. Vote today for the brand making a ‘Splash in Swim’ at ASRBiz.com. The winning brand will be spotlighted on ASR’s runway and other unique marketing opportunities.

ASR presents ‘Fashion Society,’ a young contemporary and swim runway show, twice during ASR, on Friday and Saturday at 3:00 in the new La Plage area.

The show features looks reminiscent of the French Riviera, a mix of luxurious prints and luminescent textures that embody the artistic expression found on the Mediterranean coast. The audience is encouraged to stick around after the runway show to enjoy a glass of bubbly and watch additional looks from some of swim’s hottest brands.

Included in the swim collections showing at ASR and CLASS@ASR are designer lines from a wide variety of manufacturers including L*Space, DESPI, B. Swim, Onda de Mar, Maaji, Red Carter, Luli Fama, Vix, Vitamin A, Trina Turk and Cia Maritima. Surf rooted brands including Billabong, Volcom, Roxy, Body Glove, O’Neill, Fox, Insight and …Lost will show collections that blend fashion forward swimwear with practical pieces designed for more active days.
