I’m an avid reader of Shop-Eat-Surf because it’s really the only online newsletter that I have found that is not only industry related, but also because it’s not so “guy-centric.” I find that a lot of the information I read on the site pertains to my business (as a swimwear designer) and keeps me up to date on what other companies and other women in the industry in general are doing which is not only inspiring but also helps me gauge the future direction of my business as well.

I feel privileged to read the Executive Edition because I know I am getting insider industry information before it hits the mainstream media channels. And it’s always good to know what my friends are up to in the industry.

Executive Edition is a must have
Executive Edition is a must have

Before Shop-Eat-Surf, there were two sites I paid for premium content on. One is Surfline, the other is the Wall Street Journal. One is about all things surf, the other, the best business content site in the world. Shop-eat-surf is the intersection of those two worlds. Shop-Eat-Surf provides everything from coverage of events, people, brands and trends. However, beyond the Executive Edition "wall" is more meaty analysis and interpretation of financial statements, business models and brand philosophies; why certain brands and companies are succeeding, where others aren't. The Executive Edition is a must have read if the business of surf and action sports are on your radar screen.

Laguna Beach, CA - May 5, 2010 - FORM Athletics welcomes Joseph Seemayer as the new Vice President of Sales and General Manager. With extensive experience in apparel and footwear, Seemayer is a seasoned professional and his addition to the FORM Athletics team promises to expand FORM's reach and further cement the brand's position in the marketplace.

Seemayer most recently served as the VP of Sales for Affliction apparel, and prior to that served in the same capacity at DC Shoes - building and managing the sales team and handling strategic business planning.

Seemayer has been integral in the success of several brands, including Split Inc, Body Glove Apparel and World Industries Boys. He brings with him relationships with top retailers such as The Buckle, Nordstrom, Macy's, Dillards, and Pacific Sunwear.

Mark Miller, CEO and Co-Founder of FORM Athletics, originally met Seemayer when they worked together at DC Shoes.

Miller looks forward to the skills and market knowledge Seemayer brings to FORM Athletics, saying, "Joe's work ethic is truly exceptional and he brings to FORM Athletics a sales skill set that is unmatched. Joe's customer relationships and 20 years of apparel industry experience will be a huge asset and provide significant growth to FORM in 2010. I'm really looking forward to working with him again."

Founded by Mark Miller and Urijah Faber, FORM Athletics apparel pays tribute to hard working and dedicated athletes, while promoting athleticism not aggression, focusing on the positive aspects of being an athlete: performance, commitment, discipline, and heart.

Regarding his new position, Seemayer says, "I'm genuinely excited to join FORM Athletics, this is a tremendous opportunity. I worked closely with Mark Miller at DC shoes and he has been a fantastic mentor.

"I'm also looking forward to working with Urijah Faber, an elite athlete who I have followed for years. I have tremendous respect for Faber and cannot think of a better representative for the sport. I'm looking forward to helping to build FORM Athletics into a premiere MMA and lifestyle brand."
